"Casale del Conicchio" is about a 5 minute drive from Capalbio village, which is situated in the hills of the Tuscany (Toscana in Italian) Maremma region. At about 6 km distance in Capalbio Scalo or Borgo Carige you will find: supermarket, shops, bakeries, chemists, newsagents, ironmonger, bank and post office.

By car, Casale Conicchio is about 120 km from Rome (about 1 and half hour drive). Take the A12 motorway Rome/Civitavecchia then continue on SS1 Aurelia road. Once you reach the intersection for Capablio, continue down the Aurelia road. Turn right at the next intersection, follow indications for “Le Forane”. You are now on Via Valmarina, carry on for 5.9 km and then turn right onto Conicchio road.Coming from Siena, the car journey is about 2 hours.
By train: from Rome/ Pisa stations, get off at Capablbio Scalo (less than 2 hour journey)
Flying to Capalbio: the nearest airport is Rome Fiumicino and it is about a one hour drive.

Sea, beaches, horse rides and cycling

The coast is about 8-10 km away (about 10 minutes by car) and there you can find some of the most beautiful beach areas. Alternatively following a 20 minute car drive you can reach the Argentario coast and take a ferry to discover the Archipelago Toscano. In the close vicinity there are horse stables offering the possibility of a splendid horse ride in the surrounding countryside. Or, in order to taste the authentic atmosphere of this Maremma region, we would suggest a relaxing bicycle ride in the country or along the “Tombolo della Feniglia” cycling path which runs alongside the nearby Orbetello lagoon.
